Funeral service for Charles "Bull" Bates 82 are set for 2:00 P.M. Thursday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Doc Shelton and Bro. Benji Massey officiating. Burial will follow in the Tippah Shiloh Methodist Cemetery.
Mr. Bates died April 17, 2012 at his residence. He was a retired farmer and former produce salesman here in Corinth for several years. An avid outdoorsman.
Preceded in death by his parents Jim Bates and Lillie Mae Tolinson Bates, son Charles Bates Jr. Brother Tommy Lee Bates, Sister Frances Bates
Survived by his sons Michael, Johnny and Jimmy Bates, daughters Mary Elizabeth Malonec Red Bay, Al. and Evelyn Adams of Ar., loving long time campanion` Virginia Bates, brothers Edd Bates of Caraway Ar. Travis Bates of Ripley, MS. Milton Bates of Michie, TN. Sisters Florabell Michaels of Ripley, MS. Mary Ann Banton of Caraway, Ar., Lottie Russian of Savannah, TN. Louise Carter of Ar. Several grandchildren and host of family and friends.

Mr Bates was a good neighbor of mine and he will be missed. I trimmed his Roses Monday and he came out on the porch to watch me. we talked about 30 minutes afterwards.
