I'll never forget the week our families shared in Vermont about 30 years ago. You & I played a round of golf and we were terrible. I hit my tee shot about 3 inches and then you hit yours about 5 inches. You turned to me and proudly said "at least I out-drove you"!! I still haven't stopped laughing. I'll miss you, my friend. You had a great sense of humor and an even greater heart.

Your friend forever, Ray Valentine

How I will miss Charlie's great sense of humor and his mischievous smile. If ever I needed help with a project, large of small, I knew that Charlie would be there to assist and advise. Some people know a little bit about a lot of things. Charlie knew a lot about a lot of things. He was a first-class friend. And how he loved Agatha! Almost every time we would get together he would tell me how lucky he was to have Agatha as his wife. He would brag about her seemingly unlimited attributes, from cooking to kindness, business to beauty, loyalty to loving. I'll forever miss my friend, Charlie.

Charlie was one of a kind - a true angel who hid his wings, instead of looking for glory. Giving and forgiving, he was a brother to all. All of the Stearns siblings will miss his bear hugs and his charm. From NY and IN, we wish peace for him and his spirit watching over all those he cherished. Janice and Dave
