Just heard of the passing of Charlie. We went to school together and grew up in West Gadsden. My late brother, Hugh Lee and Charlie were friends growing up. I graduated in 1949 and remember him so well. My sympathies are with you all.

Dear Freeman Family,
My heart goes out to you today more than you can understand. When Bro Moore and Charlie would visit us, my Bobby had them laughing so hard, Charlie would have to wipe the tears in his eyes. Charlie was a True Southern gentleman, a true Christian and a good friend to all. My Love to you all.

I will truly miss Charlie. When he got out of service, he visited my Mother on many occasions even though his Mother (my Mother's sister) had died when he was a young child. Everyone loved Charlie.
