Met Charlie & Marion 8 years ago on our trip to Madeleine Islands in the gulf of St Lawrence. They were celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Over the years, we have visited their cottage in Maine & gone fishing with him. Also he came lobster fishing in Nova Scotia with me. He was a truly remarkable man, strong in his faith & very intelligent. We are sure he will be missed by all who knew him. He will be in our hearts forever. Yours truly, Amos & Clara d'Entremont, West Pubnico, Nova Scotia, Canada

So often people tell me that my family is incredible. That they see how close we all are. All of the credit goes to my Grandparents. They were an example of love that the rest of us followed. My Grandfather truly loved nothing more than his family. What a great thing it was to be be loved unconditionally, we are so fortunate.
I have many great memories of him but my favorite memories are of the scavenger hunts he used to send us on in Maine. It was after dinner usually and he would make a list of things we needed to collect; an Eagles feather, a rubber band rock, a cattail reed. We would run through the polka dot trail and down to the shoreline searching. Obviously in some ways this was a genius way to keep the kids busy while the adults talked but the best part was that when we got back he would sit with us. He would spend genuine time holding us, asking us questions and making us laugh.
He was always hands on and engaged in my life. He was my biggest fan on the basketball court, he was so proud of me for becoming a teacher, he Encouraged me in moving to North Carolina. He really wanted the best for me.
I will miss him so much but I know he is in a better place. He is with my sister and many other loved ones who have left us. I love you Grandpa and thank you for all that you've given me.

Married my twin sister after he first set eyes on her on the lunch line at Chase Ntl Bank when we moved from Oregon. Will miss his sense of humor and playing practical jokes on our Norwegian family and his love of his family and of course his love of fishing. The best is yet to come. Alice McKay Collins

Dear Glenn:
I am most sorry for your loss. Your dad sounds like a remarkable man. I lost my own father when he was only 56, but I know that --whatever the age of one's parent-- his or her departure marks the close to a very important part of one's life. All my sympathies,
Syd Lea

Growing up on Debora Drive as neighbors I remember the lobster traps stacked in the backyard, the old red landscaping trailer and the strong family bond in the Millner family. As an adult I remember a great visit to the Millner family Maine lake vacation home. I am sorry for your loss.
