Chuck also had a great love for music. Whether it was the guitar, the piano or the mandolin – he loved them all. He was even singing and playing the guitar well into his 70's and could be found entertaining the residents of Meadows Manor East and Royal Oaks. In his younger years, Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting and musical jam sessions. Always the daredevil, even in his 70's, Chuck walked the tight rope at Circus Land in Florida. Chuck was a man who was very innovative, giving, and would always help others in need. He always had an invention up his sleeve to solve any problem that would arise and even made his own elevator.
Chuck leaves behind a host of relatives to carry on his legacy: including his children, Charles "Charlie" Nuss, Jr. and his wife Rita of Terre Haute and Debbie Scamihorn and her husband Randy of Kennesaw, GA.; grandchildren, Allen Scamihorn of Marietta, GA., Chris Nuss and wife Miranda of Terre Haute and Amy Woodall of Marietta, GA. Chuck was the loving great grandpa of T.J. Woodall, Hunter Woodall and Lucas Nuss. Also surviving are his brother, Louis Nuss of Terre Haute; sister, Edwina Elder of Kansas; sister-in-law, Ada Cruse of Terre Haute; brother-in-law, Paul Cruse of Hobart along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Chuck was welcomed home to heaven by his brothers, William Nuss and Frank Nuss; sister, Genevieve Utley; sister-in-law, Dorothy Nuss and his brother-in-law, Charlie Utley.
