Charles "Larry" Pickren, Sr 72 of Salem, Alabama died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday Sept. 7, 2016 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Jonathan Taylor officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Pickren was born October 18, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Charles Harold and Thyrel Smith Pickren. He was the owner of Underground Sprinkler Company in Columbus, GA and was an avid Auburn fan.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Matthews Pickren of Salem, AL, son, Charles Larry Pickren, Jr. of Columbus, GA, daughter, Jennifer Pickren McDonald and husband Jeff of Smiths Station, AL, sister, Rebecca Pickren Thomson of Roswell, GA, grandchildren, Charlee Marie McDonald, Canaan Michael McDonald and Corbyn Mae McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Christ Community Church of Phenix City, AL, 4073 Milgen Rd., Columbus, GA 31907.
