Obituary

Charles Roberts, age 99, of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 in a local healthcare facility. He was born August 20, 1914 in Westfield, New Jersey to the late Adolfh & Pauline Kropaczek. He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran of World War II and was retired from Arnold Company after many years of service. Mr. Roberts was a member of Brainerd Church of Christ. His wife, Winnie E. Roberts; brothers, Vic, Edward, & Rudy Kropaczek; and sister, Virginia Wargo preceded him in death. Charles Roberts, age 99, of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 in a local healthcare facility. He was born August 20, 1914 in Westfield, New Jersey to the late Adolfh & Pauline Kropaczek.

He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran of World War II and was retired from Arnold Company after many years of service.

Mr. Roberts was a member of Brainerd Church of Christ.

His wife, Winnie E. Roberts; brothers, Vic, Edward, & Rudy Kropaczek; and sister, Virginia Wargo preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sisters, Pauline Lahita and Mary Zawislak both of Toms River, New Jersey; nieces, Barbara Holt and Margaret Jenkins both of Chattanooga; nephew, Joey Zawislak of Troy, Michigan; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Minister John Cupp and Minister Jerry Weldon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421.
