Our deepest sympathy goes to his family. Randy and Charles worked closely together for years promoting and educating producers about no-till farming. We both shared a love of the land. We were amazed what God could provide us with that land when taken care of with love and respect. We will miss him but always hang on to the good memories. Especially, the trip to Chile. He was a very good friend and will be sadly missed. May God hold him close and comfort his family in their time of loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Randy and his father were family friends for many years. His father farmed for my grandmother, and Randy farmed for my mother, and now, for my brother and me. I heard his name mentioned in my grandmother's home many times. When I started trying to manage the farm, Randy was the best helper! He always acted like he thought I actually knew what he was talking about! I could never have done it without his expertise. Our many phone conversations didn't cover just farm matters. We discussed education, family history, traveling, dieting, and became good friends. I imagine my husband wondered many times just why it took us so long to get "farm information." There was never a more honest, trustworthy person than Randy. He was an easy listener and always concerned about his family and community. I am so sorry I didn't get the Heizer plates arranged and a picture sent. It was on my "to do" list. He generously gave me his collection as he knew my attachment to Heizer. Randy was the best farmer and always kept me informed of every little detail. I appreciated him so much!! He loved the land and I will always remember his interest and care for our inherited farm. I would like to give his family hugs, but please know we are thinking of you and will always have good memories of our friend Randy, in our hearts. He will truly be missed.
