Charles Edward Scott, 54, of Brunswick, GA and formerly of Constable, NY, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on May 11, 1959, he was the son of Neal and Marie Hammill Scott, both deceased. He graduated from Franklin Academy in 1978. On October 6 1984, he married Ann M. Fleury Scott at the Notre Dame Church in Malone. She survives. Mr. Scott worked in Wyoming on oil rigs, building construction, and road construction for a short time, before taking over the family farm in 1987 and raising a family in Constable. Charles Edward Scott, 54, of Brunswick, GA and formerly of Constable, NY, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on May 11, 1959, he was the son of Neal and Marie Hammill Scott, both deceased. He graduated from Franklin Academy in 1978. On October 6 1984, he married Ann M. Fleury Scott at the Notre Dame Church in Malone. She survives. Mr. Scott worked in Wyoming on oil rigs, building construction, and road construction for a short time, before taking over the family farm in 1987 and raising a family in Constable. He was an active bowler, water skier, snow skier, and hunter. He was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his wife and children.
Besides his wife, Mr. Scott is survived by two sons and two daughters, Joshua Scott, Alexander Scott, Erin Scott and Charlene Scott; all of Brunswick, Georgia. He is also survived by three brothers, Wayne Scott of Malone, William Scott of Constable, and Paul Scott of Malone; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Penny and John Perun of Manlius, Kay and Jim Dyer of Seneca Falls, Ann and Ted Zerniak of Constable, Sally and Gene Cross of Hannawa Falls, Mary and Terry More of Malone, and Laura and Steven Alexander of Groton. He is also survived by his mother-in -law, Pauline Santamore Fleury; three brothers-in-law and their wives, Mark and Brenda Fleury of Constable, Thomas and Dawn Fleury of Malone, and David Fleury of Malone; six sisters-in-law and their husbands, Kay and Gary Debyah of Constable, Sue and Gary Tiernan of Waddington, Barb and Bob Cornell of East Freetown, Mary and Allan Friend of Burke, Jane and Scott Degon of Constable, and Joanne and David Olson of Brunswick, GA. He is further survived by special friends and family, Paul Scott and Elizabeth Bunker of Malone, Dick and Beverly Sprague of Constable, Gerry and Jen Demers of Burke, Pat and Pam Fleury of Chateaugay Lake, and many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Neil Fleury; sister-in-law Carol Grogan; two nephews, Jon and Matthew Scott; niece Isabella Bunker; and close friend Darren Riley.
