After college she moved to California where she was a campaign manager for Ronald Reagan. She also owned three employment and two travel agencies in California. She was the President of the Yakima Soroptimists, on the Salvation Army Board for 15 years, worked with the Sundown M Ranch for 10 years, a member of Leslie Loudon Memorial Hospital Guild, Yakima Sunrise Rotary, and President of the National Association of Trial Court Administrators for 2 years and a member for 12, and on the Yakima County Planning Committee. Though I knew Charlotte for less than a year it was my privilege to work with the Brookdale team in serving such a loving and dynamic person. With one glance and smile she could simply melt your heart. I honor her family, so supportive and involved in her well being. It was also a privilege to witness the profound love of Charlotte and her husband. Seeing them fall asleep holding hands, her head in his shoulder, were priceless moments. To all the Charlottes of this family and all her loved ones I offer my condolences for your loss.

I have so many fabulous memories of Charlotte! Growing up with her family in Patterson, Turlock, Modesto and visiting Yakima in the summer. Taco Bell in Modesto! SOS Club and walking into the bleachers. Thats when we figured out I needed glasses. Visiting her at work in Modesto. The chocolate dipped ice cream cones. Finding her stash of chocolate candy bars and eating some. Tossing the watermelon in her beautiful living room and dropping it. Spending Christmas Eve together. Her coming out to Arizona when my parents moved and organizing everything!! She was an amazing, gifted woman and will be deeply missed. She taught us how to be the best we could be and I promise to teach that to all future generations!! Love to Richard, Glenn, Charlotte and Families. Mari DeVaney Soltz
