Cheryl L. (Lerch) Anspach, 51, of Mt. Penn, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of John T. Anspach; the couple married on May 6, 1989. Born in Reading on July 25, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Richard Sr. and Darlene (Sweeney) Lerch.
She was a 1980 graduate of Exeter High School. Cheryl was last employed with Elite Sportswear as a packer, and prior to that she worked many years for Vanity Fair as a floor supervisor. She enjoyed bingo, going camping, going to casinos and traveling, as long as she was not the driver.
In addition to her husband, John, Cheryl is survived by two children: Nicole M. and Richard T. Anspach of Reading; stepdaughter, Porshia R. Derr of Lebanon; a grandson, Colton M. Santiago, and two brothers: Richard Lerch Jr. and Keith Lerch.
A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Guests are asked to wear tie-dye T-shirts and jeans in honor of Cheryl.
