Chris is survived by and was the beloved son of W.O. and Virginia McIntyre; brother, Mark and wife, Vicki; sister, Gay Sheree Crosby and husband, Andrew; and nephews, Matthew, Ryan and Tyler. Chris Roland McIntyre CHARLOTTE - Mr. Chris Roland McIntyre, 50, passed away at his residence. He was born on August 8, 1961, in Charlotte, NC, to W.O. and Virginia McIntyre. Chris is survived by and was the beloved son of W.O. and Virginia McIntyre; brother, Mark and wife, Vicki; sister, Gay Sheree Crosby and husband, Andrew; and nephews, Matthew, Ryan and Tyler. Chris was an honors graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, with a double degree in electrical and textile engineering. Upon finishing his college education he was employed by Owens Corning Fiberglass, Aiken, SC. Following this employment, he spent years witnessing for Christian organizations in California and Taiwan. Family and friends knew him as brilliant, creative, organized, a journalist, and humorous with children. He enjoyed water skiing, basketball, cross country running, baseball, playing his guitar and homemade banana ice cream. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30, in the chapel at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212 with Pastor Mike Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
