Christina Jean Gonzalez went to be with her Lord on January 6, 2018. She was born January 1, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, to parents, June Evelyn (Smith) and Lawrence Joseph Buczinski. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and June Buczinski. She is survived by her loving husband and partner in life for 22 years, Sam Gonzalez; two daughters, Karisa Reed, Marisa Reed; son, Jason Stevenson; nine grandchildren, Ariana, Ariel, Deja, Favian, Jasmine, Kai, Krysta, Monica, Serena; sister, Diana Rightmire and husband Warren; two brothers, Dan Buczinski and wife Diana, and Larry Buczinski and wife Marilyn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins as well as other family members and many, many friends.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and a funeral service on Friday, January 12, 2018, at 1:00 PM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home; with the burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Christina's name to the American Cancer Society; by mail at P.O. Box 24040, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123, by phone 1-800-227-2347 or online at cancer.org.
