Dear Chrissy,
It was just a few months ago that we, Christel and I, knocked at your door to pick you up for dinner. The door opened and there you stood, smiling enchantingly, welcoming us elegantly and perfectly dressed like you always had been. It was a nice day, there was a light breeze. I took your arm and gently, we stepped down the few stairs. You seemed like a feather to me, and I got frightened by the idea that you could just float away.
We had a nice dinner at the Prawnbrokers, one of your favourite restaurants. We sat and talked and many beautiful memories came flooding back. Countless times, the both of us and our children, Christiane and Erik, had enjoyed your limitless hospitality in your beautiful home. Soon, we felt like a part of the Potthoff and the Grimm family.
Your deep friendship enriched our lives in many ways. You and John were the anchor since we first set foot ashore in Florida. We thank you for your wonderful generosity, hospitality and for 34 years of deep friendship.
Now fly, fly, Chrissy, fly to the love of your life. John is waiting for you. We will keep you forever in our hearts and minds.
Erich and Christel,
Erik and Christiane

Dearest, Dearest Chris....you were so important in my life...my friend, my counselor, my mentor and the one that i could always go to, talk with and depend upon for anything....i miss you so....when i was at your home this past week, i was certain that i heard you say, "Come..sit down, let's have a drink and talk and please bring the pickled herring!"...there is a very bright star in the sky that we see every morning on our early walk.... i just know that it is you...watching over all of us...Love and Blessings....Candace...
