There was no one I enjoyed exchanging emails with more than Chris, on many subjects, especially guitars. Though I only knew Chris from the guitar forums, I feel he was a good friend of mine. My best to the family.

As I pray for the Tugwell family, my heart goes out to all of you. While I am filled with sorrow, I can't help but smile as I think of so many memories of the teenage years spent with Chris. The hours we spent listening to music, him trying to teach me to play the guitar and summers spent playing putt putt golf. I am thankful to have known Chris and so glad my memories of him will never end.

Chris,
You were a mountain of talent with a giant heart and intellect to match. Your influence on me was large. You introduced me to more books and music than any single individual outside of my college professors. You were also the most gifted writer I have ever had the pleasure to know personally. Although we lost contact over the years, I have always considered you a close friend. On the rare occasion we saw each other the last five years, exclusively at wakes and funerals, we would pick up where we had left off last. That is the mark of a TRUE friend. The world is a lessor place without you and poorer without the novel you always promised to write! I regret not meeting your wife and family but my heart goes out to them. I know their loss is profound. I hope they find solace in the fact that Chris, like the Greek Warriors of the Iliad, you have obtained immortality because you will persist in the tales we share of Your adventures! Take care good friend.
