Bert Ekis, 94, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Grove City, PA, died on February 24, 2013.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday February 27, 2013 at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home in Sarasota, Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home with interment following at 2:30 pm at Sarasota National Cemetery with military honors.
Bert is survived by his wife of 72 years, Helen; 5 children, Caroline (John) Denby, Mary Lou (A.J.) Morris, Joyce (John) Mayner, Velma (Ace) Holland and Butch Ekis; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and great-great grandchiuldren.
