Claire Reese Brewer Compton, 81 of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Sunday October 6, 2013. She was born on January 21, 1932 in Baxter, Tennessee to Homer Bradford and Whitten Grogan Bradford. She was of the Southern Baptist Faith. She obtained her GED and was awarded her diploma after all her children were grown. During her life she was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Claire was married to Philip Courtland Brewer from April 2, 1948 until his death on April 24, 1964. She married William Compton on April 18, 1966 until his death on December 23, 1993. Claire Reese Brewer Compton, 81 of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Sunday October 6, 2013. She was born on January 21, 1932 in Baxter, Tennessee to Homer Bradford and Whitten Grogan Bradford. She was of the Southern Baptist Faith. She obtained her GED and was awarded her diploma after all her children were grown. During her life she was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, GL and Robert Bradford, sister, Claudia Bradford and daughter Juanita Brewer. She is survived by her three brothers, Jack Bradford of Orlando, Florida David Bradford of Ozark, Alabama and Dale Bradford of Sorrento , Florida, sons, Phillip Brewer II of Biloxi, Mississippi, Rex Brewer of Sanford, Florida, Jerry Brewer of Orange City, Florida, John Brewer of Payton, Colorado, and Robert Brewer of Edgewater, Florida, daughters; Carol Townsend of Orlando, Florida and Tasha Arnold of Lakeland, Florida 30 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will honor her on Monday October 14, 2013 with a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road Gotha, Florida 34734 407-293-1361.Please join the family following the service for a reception from 3-5pm in the Library at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Woodlawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
