Claire (Bobbie) Peterson, of Georgetown, was born September 22, 1921, to parents John and Katherine Sabala Ziaja. She passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the age of 92. Claire was born and raised in Chicago where she met her husband of 59 years, John, while he was in the United States Navy and she was employed with Prudential Life Insurance. Claire loved practical jokes, was very outgoing, was an avid shopper and took playing bingo very seriously. She also enjoyed cooking and was quite good at it. Claire (Bobbie) Peterson, of Georgetown, was born September 22, 1921, to parents John and Katherine Sabala Ziaja. She passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the age of 92.

Claire was born and raised in Chicago where she met her husband of 59 years, John, while he was in the United States Navy and she was employed with Prudential Life Insurance. Claire loved practical jokes, was very outgoing, was an avid shopper and took playing bingo very seriously. She also enjoyed cooking and was quite good at it. Claire loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

Together Claire and her husband, John, opened and operated JC Peterson Construction Company in Austin for many years. Claire took care of the business and John handled the construction operations.

Claire is preceded in death by her husband , parents and two sisters, Stephanie and Helen. She is survived by daughters Kim (Ron) Draeger of Georgetown and Linda (Tom) Pickren of Beaumont; grandchildren Teri (John) Hargis, Deborah Draeger and John Pickren; great-grandchildren Alec and Scott Hargis; and special close relatives Ed Nytko, Elois Carlson and Patsy Zuhr.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Helen Catholic Church, 2700 E. University Avenue, Georgetown, Texas 78626. The family wishes to express special thanks to Marlene Burkett and the staff of Park Place Assisted Living, along with the staff of St. David's Hospital of Georgetown and Dr. Kumar for their kind and loving care.

Visitation will be Friday evening, April 25, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will also be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 10:00a.m., graveside service will be at 2:30p.m. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery following the service.
