Clarence Wilton Fisher, 86, of Mesa, Arizona went home to the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2017. He passed peacefully at Banner Desert Hospital surrounded by loved ones after a fall. Clarence was born on February 2, 1931 in Cedar Creek, North Carolina. He was the oldest son of Ivey Clarence Fisher and Rena Pearl (Matthews) Fisher. He served his country for almost 40 years – 20 in the Air Force ending his career as a Master Sergeant and another 19+ in civil service. He finally retired when he, the highest-ranking civilian in Logistics, and his beloved wife, Mildred Kathleen (Carter) Fisher, the highest-ranking civilian in Supply...

Clarence Wilton Fisher, 86, of Mesa, Arizona went home to the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2017. He passed peacefully at Banner Desert Hospital surrounded by loved ones after a fall.



Clarence was born on February 2, 1931 in Cedar Creek, North Carolina. He was the oldest son of Ivey Clarence Fisher and Rena Pearl (Matthews) Fisher. He served his country for almost 40 years – 20 in the Air Force ending his career as a Master Sergeant and another 19+ in civil service. He finally retired when he, the highest-ranking civilian in Logistics, and his beloved wife, Mildred Kathleen (Carter) Fisher, the highest-ranking civilian in Supply retired from Williams Air Force Base, Chandler, Arizona in 1991. The two continued to travel the world with family and friends and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Millie was called home in 2012. Clarence continued to visit family and live life to the fullest – going to the gym three days a week until the end. He always had a smile for everyone he met.



Clarence is survived by four children – Clarence W. Fisher, Jr. Martha Jane (Dan) Anderson, Lawrence Carter (Tami) Fisher and Timothy Alan Fisher; five grandchildren – Anthony (Lauren) Hall, Nicholas Fisher, Anna Fisher, Amber Kelly and Kevin McGraw; three great grandchildren – Aubrey Ann Tyrolt, Emma Kathleen Hall and Kyrus Gallatin and two sisters – Linda Pearl Trimnal and Rebecca Jane Hill and his sister-in-law, Joyce Crumpler Fisher. He was preceded in his journey home by his parents, his wife, his sisters, Allie Grace Fisher and Vergie Rose Cullop and his brothers Edwin Allen Fisher and Leslie Belmont Fisher.



Celebrations of Life will be held in Mesa, Arizona and Fayetteville, North Carolina
