Spangler, Clarence E. –age 85 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Ashland Oil Company and served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted father. Preceded in death by parents William and Myrtle Spangler; wife Dorothy Spangler; son, Clarence (Sonny) Spangler Jr.; brother, Paul Spangler; sister, Helen Austin. Survived by son Kevin Spangler; brother, Carl Spangler; sister, Juanita Cruze; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 2:00pm March 10, 2013 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with Rev. George Gilbert officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm prior to the service with the interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com.

Your whole family was special to our family. Sorry for your loss, however, it was Heaven's gain. He and Dorothy and Sonny are together again. You'll miss him as I miss J.D. I'm sure, but we can look forward to a reunion in Heaven. Take care.
