CLAUDE TAYLOR, JR. 89, of Mt. Erie passed away 9:15PM Monday, October 1, 2012 at Fairfield, IL.

Claude Junior was born October 28, 1922 at Mt. Erie, IL to Claude J. and Blanche (Parsons) Taylor. He married Ethel Marie McCracken April 25, 1942 in St. Louis, MO and she survives.

Claude Junior was a farmer, a veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife Ethel Marie of Mt. Erie; one daughter Betty Wendling (& her husband Larry) of Gillette, WY; two sons Bill Taylor (& his wife Dianne) of Fairfield and Kenneth Taylor (& his wife Jo Anne) of Olney; two brothers Verl 'Pop' Taylor of Fairfield and Leo Floyd 'Dick' Taylor of Mt. Erie. Three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.

Preceding him in death were three sisters Joyce, Theresa and Doris Lee; two brothers Glen and Frank 'Jack'; and his parents.

Funeral services for Claude Taylor, Jr. will be 11AM Friday, October 5, 2012 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery at Mt. Erie with military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8PM and Friday 10-11AM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
