On February 18, 2015, Claudia Aline Bemish, age 65, from Needles California, passed away after a brief but intense struggle against breast cancer. Her daughters and faithful dog, Coco, were by her side. Born December 4, 1949, in San Diego, California, Claudia was the third of five children born to Arthur and Ruth Enz. She married her high school sweetheart with whom she had her two daughters. Later, she would meet and marry the love of her life, Wayne "Buddy" Bemish. She spent 25 joyful years with Buddy until he preceded her in death in 2010.
Claudia owned a small business in Needles and was very involved with her community. She participated in many charitable organizations and gave generously of her time and resources. She sponsored many worthy causes and never hesitated when she was asked for help. She loved her friends fiercely and was dependable, loyal and trusting, almost to a fault. She was a staunch supporter of the City of Needles, she firmly believed in "buying locally" to support the community. Needles has truly lost one of its biggest advocates.
Claudia enjoyed many hobbies including cooking new recipes and working in the garden, but her favorite pastime was Golf. She loved the sport and especially loved the people who joined her on the green. Much of her free time was also spent with her Grandchildren. She was so proud of each of the four kids. She found tremendous joy in being involved in their lives, and took every opportunity to show them how important they were to her. To simply say she loved them is an understatement; she was really the very best Grandma a child could have.
Claudia lived her life with courage, beauty, and strength and she fought her illness the same way. She will be remembered for her laughter, her love, and her ability to forgive. She is survived by her children, Carrie Burgess (Dave) and Jamie Molder (Doug), her grandchildren, Presten Molder, Christa Burgess, Matthew Burgess and Alli Molder, her brother Bill Enz (Carol), and her sisters Terry Collins and Marla Lozano (Robert). She is also survived by her close circle of girlfriends who she dearly loved like sisters.
Memorial Services will be held at the Needles Elks Lodge #1608, on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 am. Dr. Robert Lozano will preside. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Needles Animal Shelter.
Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend – She will be deeply missed.
