Claudia Marie Milam, 78 of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born March 1, 1937 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Albert and Artie Benson. She was the retired former co-owner of Juan's Mexican Restaurant and Abuela's Mexican Restaurant and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at Witcherville Fellowship Baptist Church with burial at Gilliam Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, John; two daughters, Connie Cross of Seligman, MO and Debbie Pound of Fort Smith; one son, Albert Pound, Jr. of Waldron; two sisters, Norvella McKinney of Fort Smith and Norma Taylor of Hot Springs; thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joni Mendenhall.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Milam, Scott Griffith, Johnny Hearron, Jimmy Reynolds, Terry Moore and Dugan King. Honorary pallbearers will be Britt Varner, Bryant and Rick Yates, Alan, Keith and Mike Williams, Randy Milam, Jordan Heydenreich and Terry Hearron.

She was a sweet Great Aunt who when I Graduated High School in 1987 she presented me with meal at her Mexican Restaurant on Rogers Avenue close to Mercy Hospital where it's located now
