Clement Ray "Clem" Mondy, Jr. died December 25th in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2013. He was born July 10, 1928 in Joplin, Missouri to Clement Ray Mondy, Sr. and Margaret V. Milligan Mondy. He attended school in Shiner, Texas, but graduated from Allen Military Academy in Bryan, TX. He also attended Texas A & M University for a short time. Clem was raised by his step-mother Cecelie Spoetzl in Shiner. His first job was counting money to put in pay envelopes for employees of the Spoetzl Brewery. Clement Ray "Clem" Mondy, Jr. died December 25th in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2013. He was born July 10, 1928 in Joplin, Missouri to Clement Ray Mondy, Sr. and Margaret V. Milligan Mondy. He attended school in Shiner, Texas, but graduated from Allen Military Academy in Bryan, TX. He also attended Texas A & M University for a short time. Clem was raised by his step-mother Cecelie Spoetzl in Shiner. His first job was counting money to put in pay envelopes for employees of the Spoetzl Brewery. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was in charge of a heavy mortar fire directional center. Clem was a long-time member of Shiner American Legion Post #201.

He met the love of his life in Dallas, TX. Peggy Joyce Bowen and Clem eloped October 15, 1948. To this union four children were born: Clement Ray Mondy, III (infant son who lived 26 hours), Catherine Elaine, Cynthia Lynn, and Charles Alan.

Work history includes: Mondy & Son Sign Company – Artist; Federal Sign & Signal Corp. – Sales; Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc. - Sales; Job-Master Sales, Inc. – President & CEO, selling high pressure water jet cleaning equipment worldwide.

Predeceased by: infant son Clement III, son Charles Alan, father Clement Sr., mother Margaret V. Gabbert, sister Imogene Rae Mondy Brumbaugh, brother David Lynn Mondy, Sr., brother Dr. Harry H. White, and step-mother Cecelie Spoetzl.

Survived by: wife Peggy, daughter Catherine and son-inlaw Peter F. Boyce, daughter Cynthia Howard, sister Dr. Alice V. White, seven grandchildren – James Clifford Chambers, Amy Catherine Sibert Fowler, Stephanie Grace Sibert Peart, Rebecca Joyce Sibert, Laura Anne Sibert, Christopher Alan Halik, Douglas Benjamin Howard, two great-grandchildren – Kate Elizabeth Chambers and James Clifford "CJ" Chambers, Jr., and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Pat H. Foley funeral home on Monday evening, December 30th, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at Pat H. Foley on Tuesday, December, 31st at 11 A.M. A Committal Service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Houston.
