Cleo Marie Martin (92) of Attica, went home to be with her heavenly father, Lord and savior at 11:50 P.M. Thursday, October 18, 2012. She had been residing at Hillside Acres Nursing Home, Willard. She was born September 22, 1920 in Sycamore to the late John A. and Bessie (Lundy) Honsberger.
Mrs. Martin was homemaker and prayer warrior and made the church and her family her life. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, and also attended the Church of the Master, Steuben over the years where she taught Sunday school most of her life and many times took as many neighborhood kids to church as she could fit in her car. Mrs. Martin also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Martin is survived by 4 sons: Budd A. Martin (Cheri) of Willard, John A. Martin (Deb) of Attica, Mark A. Martin (Kathy) of Willard and Ed A. Martin of Attica. 6 grandchildren: Matt (Stephine) Martin, Amy (Jeff) Walliser, Stacey (Jason) Sutherland, Laura (Neil) Weaver, Brandon (Danette) Martin and Alcia (Brock) Mayes. 8 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband: M. Albert Martin in 2003 and 6 brothers: Burton, Ralph, Clyde, Paul, Albert and Raymond Honsberger.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Attica with Pastor Bob Adelsperger officiating. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Twp Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church or Southern Care Hospice, 7775 Lexington Ave, Suite M, Mansfield, Ohio 44907. The staff of the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 1295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica assisted the family with arrangements

Doris (Rothlisberger)Gwinner sends her sincere sympathy to your family on the loss of your mother. Cleo was her best friend growing up and they went to Eden School together. They stayed in touch their whole lives and she will be missed. My mother has such fond memories of her days with Cleo as I'm sure,you, her family does too.
