Obituary

Reverend Clifford E. Cedar, 97, of Albion, NY, entered into rest on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Lakeside Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1914 in N. Frankfort, Illinois to George and Frances Cedar and was a lifetime resident of this area. Clifford was an ordained Minister for Jericho Fellowship Church since 1973. Currently, he ministered to area jails and nursing homes and headed men's and women's Bible studies at his church. He was devoted to his church work, but also enjoyed song writing, fishing and hunting. Clifford is survived by his wife of 72 years, Eleanor; 5 children, Clifford B. Reverend Clifford E. Cedar, 97, of Albion, NY, entered into rest on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Lakeside Hospital.
He was born on July 15, 1914 in N. Frankfort, Illinois to George and Frances Cedar and was a lifetime resident of this area. Clifford was an ordained Minister for Jericho Fellowship Church since 1973. Currently, he ministered to area jails and nursing homes and headed men's and women's Bible studies at his church. He was devoted to his church work, but also enjoyed song writing, fishing and hunting.
Clifford is survived by his wife of 72 years, Eleanor; 5 children, Clifford B. (Judy) Cedar, Darlene (Jimmy) Wright, and Laurena Lafoy, all of AL, Betty Cedar, and Elsie (Warren) Curry, all of IL. Brothers, John (Karen) Neibel of Brockport and Albert (Nancy) Neibel of Byron. Son-in-law, Ralph Webster of Holley. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by one brother, three sisters and a daughter, Eloise.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 2, 2012, from 12noon- 1PM at the Gaines –Carlton Community Church, 14548 Ridge Rd. Albion, NY 14411, where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM with the Pastor, Rev. David Beach officiating. Burial will be in the North Byron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Clifford's name to the church.
