Clifton Bernard Smith, Esq., native Washingtonian, passed June 16, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce Clements-Smith, daughter Cydne Smith Nash (Elson), sister, Joyce Smith Harris Johnson (Herman H.), nephew Clifford Alexander Harris Jr.(Kenecia), grandson Elson Amiri Nash, brothers-in-law Raymond Lindsay (Sandra) and Dennis M. McCaskill, grand nieces Kennedi and Kerrington Harris and a foster sister, Susan Perry.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Joseph Gawler's Sons LLC., 5130 Wisconsin Avenue N.W. Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sibley Memorial Hospice Foundation, 5255 Loughboro Road, N.W. Washington, DC 20016-2695, Attn: Arlene Snyder, or on-line at
