Mr. Shandy,Never forget the first time I met you at Harris Restaurant. We became instant friends.Your greatest strength was your complete honesty.Never had to try to figure out what you were saying, you made it plain and simple.Loved the tours of the ranch. You were so knowledgeable.Thank you for being Marylin's friend. She loved you so much. One look when you guys were together said it all.My only regret is I didn't get to see you often as we lived on the East Coast.Know this my friend,"I respected you and enjoyed our times together." RIP SHANDY

This has been very tough for me. I was blessed to have met Shandy about 15 years ago when i took a job in security at the Feedlot. Since the very first day, Shandy and i have been very close and i am proud to say he was my very best friend ever. There isn't much i can say about Shandy that we all don't already know. He was a great man, a great friend, he was honest, funny at times and very straight forward, he would tell you just how it was. SInce leaving CA and moving back to NY, Shandy and i have always stayed in touch calling eachother on the phone. Once a year i try to come out and visit friends and Shandy was always first on my list. I introduced him to my boyfriend and they hit a friendship off right off the bat! Shandy was a very smart man. His expertise in the Feed Lot was like no other i have know. He knew everything about the place! That was his life since he was a teen. Even though i had heard stories from him about his past cowboy days, if he told me again they where just as great as the first time he told me. My heart goes out to Mr and Mrs Harris, i know Shandy was very improtant to them as well. I know he had sisters, i had been told about them by Shandy, my heart goes out to them as well as any other family he may have had. I wanted so bad to make his servies today at the restaurant but financially couldnt swing it. Shandy i will always love you and will always cherrish the memories i have of you. You will be greatly missed and never replaced. Good bye my best friend! Marylin Kerwin NY
