Clint was born December 19, 1930 in Purmela, Texas to Rabb and Mildred Bertrand. He graduated in 1952 from Texas A&M University and served as an Engineer Officer in the United States Army. His military service was followed by his life's calling as a professor in the Engineering Technology department at his alma mater with 53 years of service. He always offered a loving and thoughtful ear and insightful guidance to his family and always supported them in their choices. He and his wife were lifelong members of the First United Methodist Church of Bryan, TX. He enjoyed his rural lifestyle and his lifelong interest in woodworking.
