Clinton "Ray" Nease, 83, of the Newport Highway, Greeneville, passed away Monday morning, March 30, 2015, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

He retired from Altrista Zinc Products, which is now Jarden, after 26 years of service.

Ray was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher there for many years.

He was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include two daughters: Susan Nease of Lexington, North Carolina and Karen Nease Brown of Greeneville; son and daughter-in-law: Danny and Angie Nease of Concord, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Aaron Bible and wife, Ashley, of Greeneville, Tyler Brown of Greeneville, and Mary Nease and Georgi-Anne Nease of Concord, North Carolina; two sisters: Marie Gregg and Geneva McGraw; three brothers-in-law: Sam Gregg, Eli McGraw of Greeneville, and Lyle Sams and wife, Wanda Sams, of Rheatown; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Don and Lilly Neas and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sams Nease; four brothers: Brenton, Berlin, Dwayne, and Fred Neas; a sister: June Neas; and a sister-in-law: Louella Neas.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Todd Abbey officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Vale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Sams, Edward Horton, Terry Wykle, Aaron Bible, Tyler Brown, and Phillip Gregg.
