Clyde W. Guild, age 94, passed away May 4, 2017 at Seton Med. Center, Austin, TX. Clyde was a veteran of WWII, serving with the 756th Tank Battalion in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. After serving from 1942–1945, he was honorably discharged as a 1st Sergeant. The bulk of Clyde's career was spent with the Buick Division of General Motors, from which he retired as Asst. Dir. of Car Distribution. He is predeceased by his brother, Robert Earl Guild of Seattle, WA. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Gracie Virginia Guild of Austin, TX; sons, Bruce Clyde Guild of New Port Richey, FL and Richard Lee Guild of DePere, WI;...

He is predeceased by his brother, Robert Earl Guild of Seattle, WA. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Gracie Virginia Guild of Austin, TX; sons, Bruce Clyde Guild of New Port Richey, FL and Richard Lee Guild of DePere, WI; grandchildren, Daniel Guild, Alison Guild Steiner, Pauli Guild, Corey Guild, Matthew Guild, and Alexander Guild; great-grandson, Xavier Guild; stepdaughter, Elaine Schellenger of Austin, TX and stepson, David Weitzel of Corpus Christi, TX.

Clyde was a long-time Shriner, loved telling a good story, and looked forward to reunions with his WWII buddies. He requested cremation and no funeral service, and his ashes will be spread at Lake Mendota, near Madison, WI. Favored charities: Shriners Hospitals for Children and Special Olympics USA.
