Clyde Roosevelt Hendrix, 78, of Granite Falls, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Hendrix was born in Wilkes County to the late Albert Hendrix and Ina Minton Hendrix. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Isaac Hendrix.
He was retired from New Woods, Inc. and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons Clyde William "Billy" Hendrix of Lenoir and Gary Nacoma Hendrix of Hickory; his daughter, Ina Michelle Hendrix of Oregon; his brothers, Cleo, Charlie, James and Junior Hendrix; his sisters, Reba Earp, Donna Thomas, Dorothy Church and JoAnn Church. He also leaves behind three grandchildren to cherish his memory, Dalton Hendrix, Timothy Reece and Ayedon Chance Hendrix.
The family will receive friends at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Rev. Mike Minton will share some words of comfort with the family and friends at 6:30 PM.
