Colleen Jeffries, 81, was born March 17, 1931, to Albert and Georgia Jeffries in Rollapp, Utah. She was the fourth of seven children. She grew up in Manti, Utah. Colleen had a beautiful soprano voice that won many awards. She married Russell Vero Aiken Aug. 26, 1950. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They were the parents of three children, as well as an "adopted" daughter. Her greatest delight was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Colleen held many church callings and especially loved her calling of working in the LDS Las Vegas temple. She is survived by her loving husband, Russell Vero Aiken; her four children, Yvonne (Kerry) Mickelson, Paul (Donna) Aiken, Wayne (Janet) Aiken and Yvonne (Darrin) Houston; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, with one on the way. She is also survived by her sisters, Beth Neilson, Dorothy Sorensen and Joyce Johnson; and one brother, George Jeffries. Viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. There will be an additional viewing 8-8:30 am. Friday, July 6, with services following, both at the LDS Church, 5800 Carl Ave. (Carl and Saylor Way). Burial following at 10:40 a.m., at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., in Boulder City.
