Connie Frazier Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 16, 2017.

Connie Lyn Frazier passed away peacefully in Athens, Georgia on May 15, 2017 at the age of 48. Connie endured a hard battle with cancer and fought until the end like a warrior.

Connie is survived by sister, Donna O'Connor and husband, Danny of Georgetown, Texas; brother, Steve Frazier and wife, Donna, from Decatur, Texas; and sister, Michelle Mitchell and husband, Vince, from Hoschton, Georgia; nephews, Brandon Frazier and Orrin Mitchell; and niece, Madison Mitchell. Connie is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends who loved her beyond measure.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Norvell and Janice Frazier and sister, Lisa Frazier.

Connie was born on May 8, 1969 in Clovis, New Mexico. The family later moved to North Richland Hills, Texas, where she grew up. She graduated from Richland High School in 1987. She spent most of her professional years in the airline industry until she became the primary caregiver for her parents. Her greatest honor was caring for her mother during her battle with breast cancer and Alzheimer's.

Connie loved the outdoors, fishing, landscaping, woodworking, cooking, going for walks, spending time with friends and family and she enjoyed country music ... especially Blake Shelton. She was an independent woman who never shied away from challenges, even working on her own car. She was known for having a beautiful smile on her face and for her infectious, sometimes mischievous, laugh. She had a remarkable sense of humor. She was a true friend always having an encouraging word and listening ear.

Remembrance events have been scheduled. Rev. Dean Posey will officiate the ceremonies. All are welcome to attend and celebrate.

Although I did not give birth to her, Connie was one of my other "kids" and her passing is as if I have lost a family member. May she rest in peace and know she was loved by many.

Connie was my sweet niece who always brought sunshine to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was so devoted to her mom and dad and never faltered with all the hardships she had to endure over the past few years. God needed a "special angel" so he has picked our precious Connie. She is forever in our hearts. We love you to heaven and back !!

Loved visiting with Connie and her parents. Her parents lived across the street from my parents. Connie was a sweet loving person with a beautiful smile. She took such good care of her parents. Breaks my heart to hear of her passing. Know she is with her parents and in the presence of the Lord. RIP Connie! Love you!
