Connie Luiten Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 26, 2013.

Connie Luiten, 83, of Chino, passed away January 26, 2013 in Chino. She was born on April 12, 1929 in the Netherlands and resided there for 24 years. Connie grew up on a dairy farm near Leiden, Holland through the depression and WWII. Her family hid a Jewish boy from the Nazis in the attic of their home. After the war in 1952, the family immigrated to the USA, when Connie was engaged to Jack Luiten. He was unable to get a Visa for 2 years. Jack arrived in 1954 and they were married in Artesia, Ca. In 1956, they purchased a shop in Chino and started their business Luiten's Welding for 51 years until retiring in 1991. Today the business continues through their sons and grandsons. Connie attended business school in Leiden and was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in Chino, California. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Linda and Richard DeVuyst, Len and Michelle Luiten, Terry and Simon Bleeker, Rhonda and Tom Cornell and Jack and Carolyn Luiten. Connie is also survived by her 17 grandchildren Stephany, Julie, Richie, Jack, Justin, Jessica, Tommy, Simon, Serena, Lindsay, Joey, Stuart, Ryan, Ashley, Tyler, Katie, Matthew; and 4 great-grandchildren Kylie, Max, KJ and Joey. Our most beloved mother, we love you so much and we will miss you always; you made us so happy and feel so special.
