Corrie Jo Gross Bechtelheimer, 35, of El Dorado died at her home surrounded by family and friends on Friday, June 06, 2014, after a two year courageous battle against breast cancer. She was born December 8, 1978, in El Dorado, to John and Sandy Gross. She is survived by her husband Trey Bechtelheimer; daughter Sloane Bechtelheimer; son, Rob Bechtelheimer; her parents, John and Sandy Gross of Parkers Chapel; her brother, Brian Gross of Parkers Chapel; her sister, Kristi Lowery and her husband Ross of Parkers Chapel; her maternal grandparents, Carrol and Millie Harris of Parkers Chapel; her paternal grandmother, Rosemary Gross of Ft....
Corrie Jo Gross Bechtelheimer, 35, of El Dorado died at her home surrounded by family and friends on Friday, June 06, 2014, after a two year courageous battle against breast cancer.

She was born December 8, 1978, in El Dorado, to John and Sandy Gross. She is survived by her husband Trey Bechtelheimer; daughter Sloane Bechtelheimer; son, Rob Bechtelheimer; her parents, John and Sandy Gross of Parkers Chapel; her brother, Brian Gross of Parkers Chapel; her sister, Kristi Lowery and her husband Ross of Parkers Chapel; her maternal grandparents, Carrol and Millie Harris of Parkers Chapel; her paternal grandmother, Rosemary Gross of Ft. Smith; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Edward S. Gross, of Ft. Smith and brother-in-law, Cole Bechtelheimer of El Dorado.

Corrie graduated with a bachelor's degree in Speech and Oral Communications from the University of Central Arkansas in 2001. She received a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2003.

She was a speech language pathologist and practiced in New Orleans and Ashely and Union Counties. In 2014, due to illness, she ended her career as the speech-language pathologist for the Parkers Chapel School District.

Corrie lived a rich, full life. She had a wonderful childhood as part of a great family. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life and had two beautiful children. She has traveled to places many people only dream of visiting. She loved her job and touched the lives of countless adults and children in our community. Her battle against cancer has been fought with courage and dignity with the love and support of her family, her many friends, and of thousands of members of #teamcorrie across the world.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 Saturday evening at the home of her father and mother-in-law, Russ and Gay Bechtelheimer at 1212 North Madison in El Dorado, please park at Madison Square Shopping Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Following the service, there will be a reception at the church's parish hall.
