Costa "Gus" George Patelidas, 99, of Brunswick, died Friday, August 8, 2014 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home on St. Simons Island. Born October 14, 1914 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late George C. and Stella K. Patelidas, he attended the University of Georgia and was a partner with George Patelidas Sons in Darien, and Leotis & Company of Brunswick and former president of Builders Supply in Brunswick. He served as a Director for Southeastern Bank for many years and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Costa "Gus" George Patelidas, 99, of Brunswick, died Friday, August 8, 2014 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home on St. Simons Island.
Born October 14, 1914 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late George C. and Stella K. Patelidas, he attended the University of Georgia and was a partner with George Patelidas Sons in Darien, and Leotis & Company of Brunswick and former president of Builders Supply in Brunswick. He served as a Director for Southeastern Bank for many years and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Mr. Patelidas was also a member of Live Oak Masonic Lodge 137 of Darien, a past member of The Navy League, Brunswick Country Club and Brunswick Rotary Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleftherea "Rea" Neos Patelidas, and a brother Stellio Patelidas. Survivors include his two sons, George C. Patelidas and wife Jackie of St. Simons Island, and John C. Patelidas and wife Jean of Darien, five grandchildren, George C. Patelidas, Jr. and wife Sara, Christina Godwin and husband Terry, Jackie Mabrey and husband Gary, Kathy Patelidas, and Johanna Barnes and husband Bryan, four great grandchildren, Claire Napert, George "Nikos" C. Patelidas III, and twins, Brooke and Georgia Barnes, and a niece, Victoria Patelidas of Darien.

Graveside rites will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Palmetto Cemetery with Father Alan Akridge officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be directors of Southeastern Bank, and Members of Live Oak Masonic Lodge 137 of Darien. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 6PM until 8 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to The Brotherhood of St. Andrews, C/O St. Marks's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1155, Brunswick, GA 31520.
