Craig Joseph Weatherford, 53, passed on to his next great adventure on June 7, 2014 with his wife and family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents James Joseph Weatherford and Jeanette Elizabeth Craig Weatherford. He is survived by his wife Constance Sue (Cheeseman), his sister Laura Weatherford Kresta, his nephews Jared (Danielle) Hemingway, Collin Kresta and Andrew Gantt, nieces Shanara Gray and Jaymi Kresta, and two great nephews Andreus Peterson and Jack Hemingway.

Craig was born and raised in north eastern Kansas, graduating from Olathe High School in 1979. He moved to Tucson in 1987 and graduated with honors from Pima Community College. He worked as a software developer, manager, programmer and analyst and was instrumental in developing and implementing software solutions for financial transactions. He became an independent contractor, creating his own business, Transaction Enterprises, LLC in 2003. He was highly respected by his colleagues for delivering projects that were exceptionally well designed, coded, tested and documented. But more importantly to his coworkers, he was a good friend and someone you would want beside you in times of crisis.

Craig met the love of his life, Coni, in 1991 and they were married at Lake Tahoe in July 1995. They both enjoyed any new adventure they could explore together, taking frequent trips to San Diego, Sedona, Las Vegas and many National Parks. Craig loved his family, friends and life, finding enjoyment in many things-a lifelong quest for knowledge, playing guitar, going to movies, swimming, bowling, and gardening. He wanted the best life has to offer and he wanted it for everyone. Craig was a gentle and kind person with a strong will and as one of his doctors aptly said; he was also "tough." Craig loved deeply and was deeply loved. He will be forever missed by his family and many friends and colleagues. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at East Lawn Palms Mortuary.

"Craig and I worked together at FUSA.. I learned a lot from him that I have taken into my future positions. I remember the daya group of us went out for a..." Beverly Carter (Washington, DC)
