Services for Curtis (Rob) Kelly, 82, of Holland will be at 2 pm Tuesday October 23 at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett, with Dr. Ramiro Pena and Rev. Rodney Kruse Officiating.
Burial will be at Holland Cemetery.
Mr. Kelly died Thursday morning, October 18, at his home.
He was born February 14, 1930 in the Sparks Community to Sam and Fannie (Kadlic) Kelly. He farmed with his daddy and later on his own. He retired from farming in 1995. After retirement, he continued to enjoy gardening and yard work. He attended Sunshine Holland, and Academy Schools. He was baptized as a teenager at the Bartlett Baptist Church. He was known for his storytelling and remembering family and community history. He loved his family and was especially proud of his grandson.
He was married to Christine Vrana in Granger on July 4, 1951 by Fr. George Tydlacka. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this year.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Gladys Persky, an infant brother, brother Eugene Kelly, and brother Preston Kelly.
Survivors include his wife Christine Kelly of Holland, a sister Melba Camp of Dallas, his daughter Rebecca Garner and husband Edward of Little River Academy, grandson David Garner of Little River Academy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Ramsey, Tommy Howell, Wayne Kelly, Terry Kelly, Johnny Kelly, Chuck Krenek, Michael Kurtz, and Matt McKinley
Donations can be made to the Holland Fire Department or Scott and White Hospice.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday October 22at the funeral home.

Christine, words can't express how sorry I am to hear of Rob's passing. Your voice message was received at my brother-in-law's home. When I got home from work yesterday he called me to come over and hear your message. I know this must be a very hard time for you now. I wish I could have been able to come today.
