Mr. Curtis Glenn Patrick, Sr.,75, of Augusta, entered into rest Friday, April 6, 2012 with his family by his side. Curtis, known to many as "Pat", was born in Castlewood, VA, November 14, 1936. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Lula Patrick and his siblings Daisy Marshall, Faye Marshall, George Patrick, Roy Patrick, and Trucilla Rynes of Castlewood, Va. Curtis led a very full, family-oriented life. He was the youngest of eight children, growing up in Castlewood,. VA, where he was a member of Reed Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Curtis Glenn Patrick, Sr.,75, of Augusta, entered into rest Friday, April 6, 2012 with his family by his side. Curtis, known to many as "Pat", was born in Castlewood, VA, November 14, 1936. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Lula Patrick and his siblings Daisy Marshall, Faye Marshall, George Patrick, Roy Patrick, and Trucilla Rynes of Castlewood, Va.

Curtis led a very full, family-oriented life. He was the youngest of eight children, growing up in Castlewood,. VA, where he was a member of Reed Valley Baptist Church. He entered into the military at 19 and served for over 20 years. During his services was stationed in Korea and Germany where he met his loving wife, of 55 years, Johanna M. Patrick. Together they had four children. Curtis retired from the military to Augusta where he has lived for over 30 years. Following his military services , he worked at E-Z-GO Textron Inc. for 19 years.

Curtis was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather who instilled a love of life in all those he encountered. His strength and dedication to his family, even while battling Parkinson's Disease, was insurmountable.

He is survived by his wife, Johanna "Liz" Patrick; brother, Lynn Patrick; sister,June Monk; sister-in-law, Ethel Patrick; four children, Curtis Glen Patrick Jr. of Evans; Richard Patrick, Sr. of Augusta; Patricia Justice (Robert) of Hephzibah; and Michael Patrick (Lorie) of Appling; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. , Monday April 9th at Elliott Sons Funeral Home 2524 Lumpkin Rd. Augusta, Ga 30906. Funeral services will follow immediately after visitation in funeral home chapel at 6 p.m. Interment, including military honors, will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Veterans Memorial section. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren and great grandchildren.
