My Dearest Cindy,
I must tell you that you have been the greatest gift from God to me. I have never loved anyone as much as I have loved you. I will forever cherish the 27 years that we had together and wished there could have been more but God had a different plan. Even though a huge hole has been created in my heart I realize that you are no longer suffering and are now with God, where I want to be also. Knowing this gives me comfort and adds a light to the grieving that I'm going thru missing you terribly. So far it's been one heck of a roller coaster ride.
I understood that you were tired of the battle and we both knew that our chances were small towards the end but we never talked about it. We continued to hold on to as much hope as possible. I have to say that you are the strongest and most courageous person that I have ever known. You took on each setback like a soldier fighting for their life, which you were. You hardly complained with all what you were going thru this past year and it was truly an honor to have been there and to have taken care of you. I bet that car could drive itself to the hospital and I know you don't like Prune Juice.
If I could have traded places with you I would have done it in a heartbeat because I felt that you had more to offer in life than me. I guess maybe that's what true love is, putting your loved one above yourself. Sure we had our bumps but hey, everybody does. I pray to God every day to give me the strength to keep on going and I have to tell you that it's the hardest thing I've ever had to do. This house is no longer a home without you but even so, you are still everywhere within it.
I pray to keep the faith and see you soon honey.
So, Anyway!
I love you.
Me.

When I was a nanny for Cindy's boss, the highlight of the littlest child's time at mom and dad's office was running in and getting the biggest hug from Cindy. She was one of the sweetest women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. The world will never be the same without her.

I remember Cindy's bubbly, positive personality. I first met her when she enrolled Alecia at Concordia Preschool in Lakewood. Happy, happy, happy Cindy! Then when she joyfully celebrated at Noah's baby shower, she wanted to tell the whole world how thrilled she was to be a Grandma. Such a supportive Mom she was, and such a loving Grandma to Noah & Azalea. I was blessed to know her!

Dave, Alecia, Kellen, & family, Mike & I have lived far away from you for what is unbelievably so many years, but we did have a big family vacation together with all the young kids and had a wonderful time driving our motor homes through the mountains. There is never enough time, life always ends too soon. Remember the good times, that will help, and know that we are all thinking of you and wishing you well. We will be making a donation in Cindy's name to the American Cancer Society, hoping that will bring hope to someone else with this terrible disease. Take care always!
Love, Mike & Sharon

I got to know Cindy when we worked out together in the mornings. She was always so excited to be there and had a clear joy about her life, especially her family, and Nebraska. She was always quick to ask about my life and what was happening in it. She was very sweet, I could always feel the love radiating from her personality.
