Cynthia Fuller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 5, 2013.

Cynthia, "Cindy "or better known as "Mimi," Fuller of Brunswick was born October 18, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, to Oscar Cave McCrackin and Adel McCrackin Cotton. She graduated from St. Pius X High School in Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia.

Cindy married Stuart Mitchell in 1970, and they became the parents of Alison Paige Mitchell and Ryan Peter Mitchell.

Throughout her life, Cindy enjoyed being a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, United Way, and March of Dimes. She also served on the Parent Teacher Association as an officer for her children's schools. She was a member of the Sea Oats Garden Club and Old Town Preservation Society. While Cindy was a champion Tupperware sales woman for many years, she later became a well-known role player at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. The aura that Cindy carried wherever she went made her an unforgettable fixture in any environment. It is no wonder that she completed her career by being the most exuberant and adventurous "Mimi" that ever lived!

She is survived by Charlie Fuller, her beloved husband of 22 years; daughter Alison Mitchell Arline (Joel) of St. Simons Island, son Ryan Peter Mitchell (Lee) of Augusta; her mother Adel Cotton of Woodstock; brothers Lon Cotton, Avery Cotton and sister Angela Cotton all of Atlanta; a sister Gayle McCrackin Schneider and brother Ron McCrackin both of Dallas, Texas. Cindy also leaves behind her four treasured grandchildren, or "her babies," Pope and Helen Arline of St. Simons Island; Emma and Stuart Mitchell of Augusta. And, her loyal dog "Sassy," a 15-year-old Maltese who will also miss being treated like royalty.

Because Cindy never met a stranger, all who knew her loved her enthusiasm towards her grandchildren, life, and her willingness to serve others. Rest in Peace, "Sweetness."

The family extends an invitation to all family and friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Joel Arline, on Friday evening December 6th from 6 to 8. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 9th at 11:00 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Brunswick, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Dear Charlie & Family,
Although Ron and I only met Cindy in Vegas in August, we felt like we had known her forever. Her warm and gregarious personality made us immediate friends. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. She is gone at a much too early age. She will be missed. All of you are in our prayers.

Dear Charlie and Family--we grieve with you and yours. We pray earnestly that you with be comforted with peace and strengthend in the difficult days ahead. Cindy was so fun and never met a stranger. We had such a great time when you guys came to our celebration in Las Vegas and Cindy became 'Facebook' friends with many of our lifelong friend because, in their words, "we liked her immediately and traded emails and became FB friends. Jenny Pope, her 87 year old aunt and fast friend, said she will miss her regular phone calls, chatting and laughing, and getting mail. Cindy knew what fun it was for Jenny to get 'mail' and so, wrote regularly, sent funny cards and this just added such a bright spot in her day. Cindy came to Amarillo to see her last summer and oh, my gosh! We laughed, lunched, drank wine and she had us rolling in the floor as she mimicked her Daddy's 'walk'. I actually had commented that when her Daddy, Tanks (my Dad's first cousin) died, they broke the mold. And her response was an exuberant laugh and she said, "No they didn't--I'm just like him...watch this!" She leaves us with precious memories and such sorrow that her bright light won't illuminate our lives physically. We expect to be overcome with her light again when we meet in heaven with the angels and the other saints! Francis de Sales wrote words that echo our thought for you: Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of your tomorrow and everyday. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then, put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations and say continually "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart has trusted in Him and I am helped. He is not only With me, but IN me and I in Him. Love Janace Pope Ponder and Jenny Pope
