She was born on September 27, 1958 in Madison, Wisconsin to Walter and Janet Stebbins. She graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in Wisconsin and earned a B.S. from Colorado Christian University. She served four years in the US Army in Military Intelligence and was assigned to Germany where she met her husband, Steve, of Mayfield Heights, Ohio. They married in 1981 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Cindy had a passion for her career as a senior intelligence analyst for the federal government which provided opportunities to travel and live in many countries in Europe, Central America, and the Middle East. Her greatest passion however, was her family. She is survived by her husband Steven Mallik; daughters Jessica Friesema (Sam) and Lauren Mallik (Eric Owiesney); grandsons William and Jackson Friesema; mother Janet Stebbins; brothers William Stebbins (Julie), Kenneth Stebbins (Karen), Andrew Stebbins (Barb); sister Julie McPhee; mother-in-law Josephine Mallik; sister-in-law Barbara Sullivan (Tom); and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the dedicated professionals at UH Seidman Cancer Center for working to give her the best quality of life for the longest time possible as it gave her time to experience more of life's greatest joys, such as becoming a grandmother and spending lots of quality time with family. Many thanks also to Hospice of the Western Reserve for providing her so much comfort and peace. Funeral Services 10 AM Saturday May 3rd at the funeral home. Interment All Souls Cemetery.
