Cynthia Ann Wade, 53, of Bartlett, passed away Thursday morning surrounded by family and loved ones.
Cynthia was born September 11, 1959 to Henry and Ann Loeve in Taylor, TX. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School until 8th grade and then Taylor High School. Cynthia graduated as salutatorian from Taylor High School in 1978. She briefly attended Temple Junior College before working with the United States Postal Service.
Cynthia loved her job. She began working at the Bartlett Post Office September 19, 1981. She worked there until December 2007 when she began working as Officer in Charge in Granger, TX. Cynthia became Postmaster in Davilla, TX in 2008 but kept working in Granger until she got sick. She loved interacting with people. You could always find her talking and laughing with the customers.
Cynthia spent most of her life living for her two girls, Jenna and Cheyenne. She spent many nights at the school gym and softball fields watching her girls play sports. She enjoyed spending time with the girls whether they were just hanging around the house or out and about. She loved spending time in Austin while the girls were attending the University of Texas. Cynthia was so proud of her girls and all of their accomplishments.
Cynthia had many friends and touched many lives in her shortened time here. Cynthia was very strong in her faith and believed strongly in the power of prayer. She was a very special lady who was always looking for a good time and good company. Cynthia was often referred to as "the life of the party." You could hear her laugh from a mile away.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her father Henry J. Loeve. Survivors include her daughters, Jenna Wade of Austin, TX and Cheyenne Wade of Austin, TX; her mother Ann Loeve of Taylor; her sister Elaine Keith and husband Ronnie of La Grange, TX; brother Jeffrey Loeve and wife Vicki of Granger; brother Larry Loeve and wife Karen of Granger; and brother Henry Lee Loeve and wife Glenda of Manor. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved very much.
Pallbearers include Ryan Keith, Larry Loeve, Jr, Clayton Loeve, Jacob Loeve, Sonny Motloch, and Lee Kurtin. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Loeve, Nicholas Loeve, Joshua Wade, David Taylor, Travis Wade, Trevor Wade, and Chance Loeve.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cynthia's honor to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, http://pancreaticcancerfoundation.com or to Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church P.O. Box 608, Granger, TX 76530.
