Cyrial G. Morrison, 82, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012. Known as "Red" to his family and friends, he was born June 3, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Max and Mae Morrison. He graduated from Toppenish High School in Toppenish, Washington, Class of 1948. Red married Anna Mide Weber of Harmar Township, PA on July 22, 1950 in Washington D.C. Red enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948. While serving in Vietnam he received the bronze star in 1967 for distinguishing himself for meritorious service as non-commissioned officer in charge while engaged in ground operations against an opposing armed...
Cyrial G. Morrison, 82, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012. Known as "Red" to his family and friends, he was born June 3, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Max and Mae Morrison. He graduated from Toppenish High School in Toppenish, Washington, Class of 1948. Red married Anna Mide Weber of Harmar Township, PA on July 22, 1950 in Washington D.C. Red enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948. While serving in Vietnam he received the bronze star in 1967 for distinguishing himself for meritorious service as non-commissioned officer in charge while engaged in ground operations against an opposing armed force from May 1965 to April 1966. He retired after serving 29 years as a Chief Master Sargent in Montgomery, Alabama where he was a recruiter for the USAF. Red was an avid deer hunter who loved "hully gully" and golfing, and loved playing spades with his children and his grandchildren where he was known as an avid cheater. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Anna Morrison; daughters, Gwynn (Walter) Primrose of Kailua, Hawaii, Wendy Morrison of Montgomery, AL, Tara (Dave) Buran of Atlanta, GA, and Sandy (David) Young of Crestview, FL; his brother Neal (Barbara) of California; and six grandchildren. His was preceded in death by his nephew, Mitch Morrison. Funeral services will be held at the Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, Alabama at 11:00 pm on Wednesday, October, 31, 2012.
