I was deeply saddened at hearing of George's passing. He was a man of gentleness, thoughtfulness and humble. I am truly grateful for his touching our lives and, especially, our father's Konstanty Bielawski. Both veterans and true heroes. I had learned from George that they both enjoyed getting together for drinks.Possibly sharing their lifetime stores. I hope that you had an appropriate tribute as your making sure that our father had one. Thank you for having had graced us with your presence.

I wish that I could have expressed my sincerest condolences in person. He was always Mr. Obminski to me, a very special individual, an especially positive contributor to the Polish community of Hamilton. He had a knack of remembering something significant about each and every person he met and made a point of making those with whom he interacted feel very special. Thank you, Mr. Obminski; your kindness, your sacrifice and your positive spirit have been and will continue to be an inspiration to others.

My deepest condolences, I'm not very good when it comes to expressing my thoughts to the Family and friends regarding someone so special. George is and always will be a true Gentleman. He came to visit my Father (Konstanty Bielawski) at the nursing home this year. Unfortunately my Father passed away that night before George arrived. He shed a tear when the receptionist told him the news. After the Funeral, George came to our house for lunch, we talked about his past in WWII and some of his flights in the Lancaster. I served some time in with the RHLI (Royal Hamilton Light Infantry) and what George and my Father experienced during WWII is absolutely amazing what they had to endure. I only met George at my Father's Funeral, he is the type of man that that turns people's heads. Once again a true Gentleman, and will be missed for who is.
Best regards,
Robert C Bielawski
