Alexander: Don passed away peacefully in Kelowna in his 85th year. He is survived by his loving wife Donna; sister, Dorothy; four children and ten grandchildren. Don had a laugh that was as big as his love of family and life itself. He enjoyed many varied recreational activities including swimming, tennis, racquet ball, sailing, skiing, curling, biking, hiking, square dancing, horseback riding and golf. His love of the outdoors and the sea is now shared by all of his family. As a Vancouver city boy he adapted well to country life on his Langley hobby farm. In later years he established the annual "Don Alexander Invitational Golf Tournament" which has become a hotly-contested family event hosted at Gallagher's Golf Club. All who knew Don will truly miss him and his enthusiasm for life and all it has to offer. The family would like to thank the excellent care-givers at Brandt's Creek Mews. Don requested a private family service. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.mem.com and searching his name under stories. Arrangements entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Services, Kelowna, BC (250)762-2299.
