Memorial services for SSG Donald Jay Hutton, US Army (Ret.), 47, of Columbia, will be held at 5:00 pm Wednesday at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital Auditorium. A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors for Mr. Hutton will be 3:00 pm Thursday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with Rev. Ferdinand Gavina officiating. Mr. Hutton passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was born August 22, 1962 in Decatur, IL to Donald E. Hutton (wife Jean) of Kokomo, IN and Carolyn Hopkins (husband Bob) of Warsaw, IN. Mr. Hutton was retired from the US Army, and was employed as a Surgical Technologist. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 0172.

He is survived by his loving wife of two years, Elisaveta Delcheva; two daughters, Erika Hutton and Brandywine Hutton Landgrave; a sister, Barbara Gavina (husband Ferdinand); a brother, David Adams (wife Brenda); two grandchildren; and his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by an infant son, Brian Andrew Hutton; two nephews, Dalton and Chance Adams; and his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Red Cross.
