Dr. Deborah Loeff, I was blessed to know Cody and he was one of the sweetest and bravest youngsters I have known. He was a light in our lives and so many of those he touched at Lutheran General Hospital will miss him deeply. His spirit, humor and optimism will live in all our hearts. I hope that Cooper, his grandparents and parents will take comfort in knowing that he was loved by so many and we grieve his loss with you.

Cody I just want you to know my nights will never be the same. I enjoyed our talks every night about sports and music. You fought for life like nobody else I have ever met. Diane, Jody and Brian did a great job raising you. You were polite to everybody and a joy to be around. A huge Chicago sports fan! You loved the Cubs, Bears and so excited about D Rose about to come back. I will teach Rylan to be a Chicago Cubs fan for you. Love always uncle Scott!

Cody was a great friend of mine, he was always there if we needed him, and not just for me, but for everyone. I'm keeping Dakota and his family in my thoughts and prayers, just remember that he's an angel still among us now.
