Dale Adcock Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 17, 2011.

Dale Martin Adcock, 73, died Monday, August 15, 2011 at the trauma unit of Duke University Medical Center.

Dale was born August 6, 1938 in Roxboro, NC to Carl Blaine Adcock and Tressie Laity Adcock. He was a graduate of Danville Community College with a degree in electronics and was employed with the Federal Aviation Administration for over 35 years. Loved by all who knew him, people and animals alike, he never hesitated to help anyone who needed it and was always willing to lend a hand whenever he could. He loved barbecue, blue grass, old cars, all animals, and was happiest riding his tractor on the farm with his faithful sidekick, Baxter the dog.

Dale is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anita Ware Adcock; daughters, Kim Draper and her husband Tim of Huntsville, AL; and Betsy Carol Adcock and her partner Richard Lewison of Raleigh, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 19th, 2011 at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609 with Rev. Jimmy Howard officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
